Master Plants
The plants with which we have an alliance at LIS are an integral part of our team.
They are master plants, which, according to the Vegetalist knowledge of peoples from the upper Peruvian Amazon, have spirits capable of communicating, teaching and working on spiritual cures during Diets and rituals.
They can be identified in 3 groups:
Purgative plants
They work on cleansing and purifying the physical, spiritual, and psychic bodies (with vomiting and/or diarrheal effects).
Sauco, Yawar panga, Rosa sisa, Tabaco and Açucena.
Master Diet Plants:
They teach us through dreams, visions and revelations. Taken in retreat and with adequate nutrition, according to Vegetalist knowledge and practical observation from the Takiwasi Center – a reference in working with master plants, with 32 years of existence in Peru −, they provide care for the body and spirit.
Entheogenic master plants:
Chacrona and Cipó Ayahuasca
Ayahuasca is an entheogenic beverage, with a “psychoactive effect”, considered by Peruvian vegetalists as a “sacred beverage” – due to the understanding that it is endowed with a spirit with which we can relate and learn. It is prepared by cooking two master plants: the Psychotria viridis shrub and the Banisteriopsis caapi vine.
It calls us to deep spiritual work, helps balance energies and awakens intuition, enabling connection with old memories and guiding insights.
It allows us to delve into issues relating to life history, emotions and situations that are often not yet elaborated, traumatic.
